How to Find the Right Color Vinyl

Whether you're a hobbyist exploring the world or vinyl crafts, a seasoned sign maker looking for the right color reflective sign vinyl or a DIY enthusiast who wants to wrap their ride or reface their kitchen cabinets finding the right color of vinyl film is probably one of the most important considerations. In fact, once you've decided on the type of film you need and have chosen the brand, all that's left to decide upon is the color: a choice which would seem like a no brainer until you realize there are literally hundreds of shades and hues to choose from. In order to help you make the right choice we've broken up the vinyl films into three sections: Sign Vinyl, Craft Vinyl and Wrap Vinyl.

What Colors Can Do for You

We feel like we're preaching to the choir but it's probably pretty obvious that a sign or logo isn't defined solely by the words written on it — shape and color are equally important in designing signs and logos that captivate and make a lasting impression. In fact, color increases brand recognition by up to 80%. When you think of Coca Cola we would bet that you can see the iconic red background and white cursive lettering in your head and that you're equally familiar with the ubiquitous blue and white logo of Facebook. But, when you're asked to help a client come up with a sign or a decal for a business, school or office, how do you go about selecting the right color for the job? Read on and find out more about color psychology and how it can influence your choice of vinyl color film.

Different Colors Give You Different Results

If you're a sign maker or business owner, you'll want to choose your vinyl colors using information gathered from the field of color psychology. Heck, even if you're just a DIY enthusiast or part-time vinyl crafter, the handy guide below should help to give you a better idea about different color combinations you should consider to convey certain meanings above and beyond simple aesthetics.
